Stickers in the CLI, retro sounds, and confetti cannons.
1. Giving away CLI stickers…in a CLI
Joe Tannenbaum was giving away stickers to open-source supporters. All you gotta do is SSH into his app, fill out a form in the terminal, and be amazed at this brilliant idea and execution.
2. The Front End Developer/Engineer Handbook 2024
This is an incredible free resource courtesy of Frontend Masters. It’s good to take a step back and take stock of how many moving pieces there are to this whole web development thing.
3. The most accurate flat map of Earth
The Gott projection is now the world’s most accurate. As the author’s say in their paper, “The Winkel Tripel is a map you can hang on your wall; these double-sided maps are more accurate ones you can hold in your hand”
4. 8-bit sound generator in JavaScript
I recently used the Mario “coin” noise in a project, but this jsfxr library looks amazing for crafting your own retro sounds.
5. Performant confetti
I can’t wait to slap a confetti cannon in an upcoming project thanks to this library from Kiril Vatev. I love that this exists.
